I've had my hands on their new album since about May now and its an absolute cracker.

Definately exceeds their first effort which I loved dearly and I really hope that this gets them the credit they quite rightly deserve.

    Anyone else like them?

    i love them.

    they are madly underated.

i don't understand why, so many average bands (the editors for example) are huge at the moment, but the cribs are ace, yet still only have a smallish cult following.

I agree with the smallish cult following thing.

The Cribs and half of the Kaiser chiefs run a night once a month in Leeds called PIGS night. It's basically new age music, techo, rock, pop rock, garage rock and other stuff all combined into one.

However, its a smallish club where they hold it so you can socialise with eveyone but the Kaiser lads who run it just sit in a corner getting drunk and loving the attention that everyone lavishes on them. However the Cribs are the complete opposite, they chat with everyone, dance with everyone and just seem far more down to earth.

I can't see them becoming bigger than the Kaisers but I really hope they do, lord knows they deserve it more in my opinion.

I've only heard "Hey Scenesters" and one other track, which I don't know the title of. My friends loves them and keeps ranting on, so perhaps I'll get into them. But at present, I'm not a fan - I haven't heard enough of them obviously, but they seem a little mediocre, like nothing special. I need persuading...

Yeah i agree, i first saw them supporting death cab, i hated them at first, they were a joke, they smashed up the set, but then, as they were too small to have roadies they had to return to the stage to repair everything.

They were really cool though, after they'd tidied up the stage they came into the crowd to watch DCFC and were chatting to everyone. We all thought they would end up being huge, its really odd that they're not.

I love the Cribs, both albums are amazing. Their songs are so catchy and fun.

Saw them live in Camden a few weeks back and they were wicked, the corwd loved it and they put on a great show.

Suprised they haven't done better (chartwise) as they're songs are seeminlgy radio friendly and catchy... but all the better for those who know em I guess.
