I don't think you have and going to the local uni to save money is different to staying in the country to study because going local saves thousands but staying in the country will save tens of thousands, two different kettles of fish. The electricity thing was an indicator of the greatness of Imperial.
But going to a good american uni means you can easily get a job in he states (more easily anyhoo) after having received a prestigious degree.
And you can earn more money in the states.

Your last sentence is bit more like it: unashamedly illogical!

I don't think this is true (eg Euan Blair), but Bismarck will know more about this.

It helps if daddy is the PM.
having already established yourself in America, it is easier to find a job as you know the country.
there is no culture shock when it comes to finding your first job...
and the university will have more extenive contacts in America than any British uni would have....

You forget that as a foreigner, you'll probably leave the American university at least $140,000 poorer than when you came in. You'll have an easier time finding a job, but you won't make the extra $140,000 for at least a decade. Getting an MBA here, however, would be highly profitable.

You are the only human being to make me think in an argument on this forum on a regular basis.
I shall respond to you on the immigrant problem...

...I have just got a new mp3 player and am uploading songs etc.
Once I have finished ejaculating I shall reply

(I figured such a random post should go here and not clutter up DnD)

Do you feel slighted that Oxbridge has a direct link to its forum at the 'quick links bar' at the top of every page, but the highly regarded LSE doesn't?
I actually agree with you here (not about LSE) I don't see why Oxbridge gets a link and the top and no other university's forums do.

I would like to point out the answer to the thread starter's question was answered by Priya so there is no need to debate this any more.
    Snort.
That was hardly a debatical answer, more like the conversation held between two people on the morning after!

You should see him drift topics in the Bristol and Economics forum. He has all the slyness of Vicky Pollard when trying to nick something from the local supermarket

No, I just know that they have a small-man-syndrome thing. Point out that another uni is better than them and they go mad :p:
