Need an excuse to not attend a party

Please keep anon or delete.

One of my friends is leaving to go work down south for a few months and she's having a leaving do.

She didn't attend my mothers funeral, she hasn't come to any birthday celebrations that me and my other friends have had..And basically she's been a bit of a cow recently.

So now I need an excuse to not go to her party. I'm actually on holiday until the day before the party, I wish I was on holiday for a day longer now

Thanks.

Tell her you're too busy having a party celebrating the fact that she's leaving.

Holiday bug?
Danube fever?
Chronic diarrhea?
Cancer?
A date?
Pregnancy?

Tell her she's a massive flange and you do not want to go to her party. Problem solved, no need to make excuses just be blunt.

D&V. Works a treat as an excuse!

The fact you just came home from holiday makes it more convincing! Not that anyone would ask details...

Reply 5

Just say you can't make it but don't provide an excuse. It'll make her feel bitter.

Or say 'I'll probably be tired'.

Reply 6

Just don't turn up?
What did she say for not going to the funeral? Use the same reason.

Delayed flight/tired from travelling/a combination of the two?

Reply 8

"I don't want to go"

Reply 9

either say your too tired, or the flight got delayed, or just say you can't make it and don't give a reason or just don't turn up

Reply 10

Just say: "No thanks, don't really fancy it."

Reply 11

'You're a monumental cow. I'm not coming.'

Or claim temporary paralysis. Something outrageous so she understands exactly how you feel. But she can't dispute it XD

Reply 12

"Thanks, but no thanks"

Say you couldn't sleep the night, and kept having nightmares and/or sleep paralysis, so you're very tired and can't attend.
