had my interview for leeds today, scary business! its going to be a few weeks till I hear back though so I don't know whether or not I'll be too late for Waterside accomodation, help!!!! oooh graphic communication heyyy?? is that just like graphic design?? and also does anyone know if sion hill has lazer cutters/ didgital fabric printers??

it's soooo good cos it's a small uni so less people fighting for the equipments :P ohhhh hope your Leeds interview went well, but come to Bath!!!!!!!! If you're 100% sure you want to come to Bath, you can reject Leeds and firm Bath NOW :biggrin:

then no need to worry about Waterside :smile:

Arghhhh I am so sorry I've not replied for ages!!! I've had a madweek; it was my birthday on Thursday so had a mad weekend thanks to that then working and trying to do fmp work in between all that arghhh!!!! How is everyone anyway??
I've decidedIf I don't hear back from Leeds at the end of this week I'm going to firm bath, I know that makes no sense to normal people but it makes complete sense in my head haha
suki how did you find out about the laser cutters/fabric printers?? I've been looking for info on it for ages and couldn't find any and that's been the deal breaker because of the kind of textiles I want to do!!!

Nah it's not weird to accept Bath already! One of my friends got an unconditional from her first choice so she just accepted that and didn't go to the other interviews!

yaaaay at least one of us went to the open day!!! haha! thank you! i had a fabulous birthday, went out on the thursday night with some friends in southport and then just spent the rest of the time moochin around and chilling which was lovely to have the time off work/college. theres a lovely beach near my house so spent a lot of time there in the nice weather :smile:

I really want to accept bath but part of me still wants to know if i got into leeds, just for the sake of it; it has always been my first choice until i went to bath!
but anyway, hows the fmp going?? whats your specialism in textiles?
Ahh i know exactly what you mean about college ive been so unmotivated these past few days, its making me feel so guilty because I know soon enough there will be no time left and I'll be panicking but oh well, c'est la vie

Woww I'm so jealous you both live near beaches! I would have to drive for at least an hour to reach one! I know what you mean Felicity - after I got into Bath my parents said I shouldn't bother going to the rest of the interviews but I still went to two more! I just had to see whether I got in or not.
I went back to college yesterday and it was suuuuch a failure of a day! I didn't do any work :s-smilie:

oh dear! What kind of stage are you guys at? I haven't even started designing yet ahhh! I'm going to do printed textiles for interiors, how about you?

Oooh haha I was the same last week but I've got into the swing of things this week, spent the past two days in the print studios trying out designs, I hate it though I feel so rushed! So far I've done a research book and just started preliminary samples book, stress stress! What about you two??
Ohh I called bath today she said they're sending out the accomodation packs today so that's all rather exciting, let me know when you get them!! Have you all done student finance too? Im waiting on dad to fill out the form but he's taking the piss about it now :frown:

I went to see friends in fashion today and all their work looks like so much fun, lol.
My deadline to finish my outcomes is May 4th and we can tweak stuff (while sorting out our final show) til the 10th but I've got so much to do still, I think I'm actually going to have a breakdown in the next week :|
So excited to sort out accommodation!

That's mental! Our exhibition starts on 1st June so everything has to be done by then, feels like I've got ages but I know it's going to go so fast!

Heh there! Sorry I haven't been on for sooooo long :frown:

been pretty stressed about FMP cos I just wasted the easter holiday doing nothing :P I actually got till beginning of June to do my FMP but there are so much I wanna do and it feels like I'll never get them all done, anyhoo hope you guys are doing well! Unlike you both into prints, I wanna specialise in knit or embroidery / stitch.

Felicity you should come to Bath cos amazing people go there (like Polly and I :P ) still haven't received the accommodation pack from the uni yet *impatient face*, how about you both?

Im so stressed about my FMP too! I haven't even started printing yet and I have 3 weeks of college left (plus we only go in 3 days a week so we actually have 9 DAYS LEFT!) AHHH.
Felicity have you chosen which one yet? Please come to Bathhhh! I want to meet you guys!
I haven't received anything from Bath yet. I find it so weird that they didn't they didn't send us a welcome letter or anything when we firmed it!?!

Hello you lovely ladies, after a whole lot of soul searching I've decided to go to Leeds college of art next year :frown:

on the basis that it's so much closer to home, the job prospects at the end are so inspiring and also it was an offer I couldn't refuse, there are hundreds of applicants for only a few places. it's been such a hard decision; my heart said bath but my head said Leeds so I just had to firm it before I changed my mind again. Hardest decision ever!!! Anywho please keep in touch, I'll be checking back to see how you're all getting on :smile:

Just came back from a lovely weekend in Bath, I stayed with my friends that are studying there, and we saw Waterside Court on the bus - I almost screamed out loud :P

I have 3 more studio days at college then have to clear the space for exhibition - scary stuff!!!!!! Good luck both of you with your FMP! We can do it :smile:

Ahh Suki was Bath good? What's it like?! I haven't stayed there since I was about 11. Did you experience the night life etc?

Goddddd I am so stressed about this FMP! I feel like I'm never going to finish it in time! We don't start preparing for the exhibition until June. Good luck with your FMPs as well. It will be ok. (I hope!)

My outcomes for fmp are in for Friday and I now need a backup plan because my original publishing plan for the book I'm making has failed epically. I hate my bad timekeeping! D;
