Is not rinsing washing up liquid off cutlery/crockery really harmful?

I've only just thought about this, brought to my attention by my housemate, but I never considered the health effects caused by not rinsing things off after washing them up.

Is there anything proven anywhere that it's actually harmful? I've never been able to taste washing up liquid on things I wash up so I assume I don't use much, but still...

Btw I use ecover washing up liquid - not sure if this is any better mind.

I doubt it, just rinse it anyway. It doesn't take much effort.

Not really, unless you're doing it often and constantly. It'll just taste disgusting.

If it was harmful washing up liquid wouldn't be allowed to be sold in this country. You'll be fine.

The thing is, it's never occured to me before to rinse things. I don't think I've ever consiously rinsed anything when washing up.

Yeah...?

Hmmm, I know what you mean, like sometimes I leave bubbles on them, and don't really rinse them afterwards (because the sink is full of stuff). I don't think its would be harmful really.

Reply 15

I never rinse mine. I'm still here.
