Durham, Oxbridge, LSE - all have a rep. I was advised to withdraw from Durham due to my GCSEs though they didn't hinder me getting an interview at Oxbridge. When I went to York for History (a top 10 department and uni) they said GCSEs don't matter - they won't hinder you if you have good predictions, and a nice reference and PS. Don't worry.

what if you end up getting 2D, 1E, 1G and 3C at igcse, and are doing Cambridge international exams for A levels and they are following a linear model which means you sit your A level exams in year 13, so if you retake your failed igcses, and then end up getting 3 A stars for A levels, will universities still take you? such as Qmul and Soas for business or international relations? I mean you do send your uni application at the end of year 12 in October so your igcse results and the retake results and by the end of year 12 your class exam results are sent off along with the personal statement. So if you have a strong personal statement and excellent year 12 term 3 class test results but bad igcse results and the all passed retakes, do you still have a chance at qmul, soas, kings college London or Sussex even? Please give me an answer!

I got Bs/Cs in my GCSEs because I hadn’t been diagnosed with dyslexia, then got A*AA in my a levels and I got an offer from everywhere I applied and they were all Russell group (I can’t remember how many I applied for because it was ages ago, I’ve graduated now but I applied for the maximum amount)

You’ll be fine - don’t worry ☺️

Some unis will specify GCSE grades so it really depends

Yes that's true because all the universities I am planning to apply to require 5 passes at GCSE including Maths and English. Also, since I am planning to do business management at uni, they require a B in maths at gcse which I retook and got so do
the IGCSE retakes also count? Also when they say GCSE requirements, does the same thing apply for IGCSE as well?

Wow Bs/Cs sounds excellent. Congratulations on your success and well done! I am here stuck with bad igcse results :frown:
I am some what proud of the fact that I did try the best I could during that particular time since year 11 was the WORST for
me. Not academically, but mentally I wasn't doing well and that affected my ability to focus properly on my work and exams. However I am proud that I got through it since at the beginning I never thought I could do it. Thanks for the reassuring
advice.

Afraid I'm not an expert on iGCSEs but I imagine the websites will specify if their requirements on them are any different. You can contact them to check tho. If you've got the correct grades that will count regardless of whether they are retakes or not
