Has anyone got an offer without an interview for medicine

Just out of interest has anyone here got an offer for medicine without an interview?
Its just dundee's website is very unclear about their interviewing.

some places dont interview i think (southampton??). Also Newcastle give about 80 people offers without interview based on personal statement. Its very rare though!

Edinburgh are another one who make offers without interviewing. And St Andrews I think. It seems Dundee do interview - from their entry profile on the UCAS website:

5. Will I be interviewed?
After the initial assessment by the selectors, applicants with a high initial assessment score will be invited for a short informal interview with the selectors. Interviews are held from January until March. At the time of the interview, applicants will be given the opportunity to tour the Medical School in the company of current medical students. For entry in October 2004, a total of 480 applicants were interviewed.

Queen's in Belfast also do not interview for both Med & Dentistry. Although they set a requirement of a certain number of A*s

No problem! Gave me an excuse to get away from my biology essay... :rolleyes:

Agree about informal interviews (though doesn't mean they'll be easy) plus in Dundee's case about half of interviewees get offers.

St Andrews make most offers without interview - i think they just interview mature students and borderline applicants they can't quite decide on and need to get a better idea of.

Edinburgh don't interview. They only interview people who apply through the LEAPS programme IIRC. Dundee do interview. And St Andrews don't interview if your application is strong, I think.
