i had a sense ... someone will say this ... why so?
yes, i find that very creepy. The sound of laughter really depresses me... then again so does crowded places, summer, endless smiling etc. i guess to some people, it's a friendly gesture and to others, it can be irritating.

Similar to sound of laughter being depressing to you, I personally am not good at having a convo with other people and it quite depresses me seeing other people talking and laughing about things - basically because theres not much to talk about in life.

I get pleasure out of seeing other people happy and smiling

Does anybody else get this?

'A smile inspires another smile'

A smile is a very powerful thing IMHO.

I am always smiling. In fact I am the Queen of Smilies.
9/10 of my posts have a  in them somewhere. Its like my
quote from Ben calling card
I always got the impression that people who smile a lot are really really thick and have no grasp of the gravity of life.

hmm interesting, I won't say I think like that because that would be insulting. But I do think like that!

i feel the same. i find it very annoying that some people can pick up a conversation with complete strangers about the most trivial things and start laughing about it. I prefer the sound of silence.

Soo true, But I'm like soo silent sometimes, I can't remember my own voice and thats worse in these holidays. I find myself talking to myself, is that bad? :/

Well I don't just talk to myself, I force myself to talk - basically to myself.
After long periods of silence.

No, i talk to myself sometimes too. i have many voices inside my head, and it doesn't help when there's loads around me as well (i hate the summer). There are people i've known for years complaining that they have NEVER heard me talk or smile!

  Could stuff like this be depression or mild depression?

I'd be happy if it was, so I can be satisfied that there is some medication I can take to reduce or get rid of my sad feelings. :frown:
Nah too much smiliness is creepy and when I see someone smiling a lot, I ask myself "what kind of emotional problem is this one trying to hide"?
