Sleeping in and missing exams.

Has this ever happened to you/anyone you know? How did they overcome it?

I've had a few close-calls but luckily I've never missed an exam. I imagine it must be a horrible feeling when, in those first moments you wake up, you realise you've slept in...

I know a guy who just forgot he had an exam (at university) but no one I know has simply slept in.

Never, why would I take the risk? If it was a normal school day, then yes, I used to sleep in most of the days anyway, but exam... naah, too important :p:

I have actually done this *cringe*
My exam was due to start at 9.15...I woke up at 8.30. My bus comes at 8.40 - AAHHH!
But I managed to get the bus around 8.45 I literally shoved my uniform on and ran for the bus with my revision guide in hand, revising on my bus and attempting to look presentable (I looked like such a tramp that day)

Needless to say I managed to get AA in those exams haha :smile:

It happened to me once, but the school were good enough to phone me 5 minutes before the exam, and I live on the same road as my school, and it isn't a particularly long road.

I once stayed up all night before an exam, then about half an hour before I had to leave to get to it decided I had time for a quick nap.

Had my nap, woke up with the aid of an alarm clock.

I started nodding off in my A-level bio exam though...

I've never done this, but yes I do know others who missed their exam, either because they just totally forgot about it, or because they overslept.

I've been late to about 3 exams, never more than 10 minutes. Amazingly I got the 10 minutes added on to the end of my exam!! Didn't know they could do that, I just thought I'd have 10 mins less.

No I have an alarm. I always leave extra early for my exams because I get the train and trains are not always reliable. I know someone one who was late for the exam and just before the exam the class was told to answer a certian question which is easier to pick up marks in, she wasn't there and ended up picking the harder question so missed out on med school in US.
