We are based here in Birmingham and think Brucey is a cool guy but he got slapped senless a few months back by a youth who wanted to steal is car of his drive..

Not sure how his nose got disslodged either unless he boxed as a youth ? He also must be one of the best Premiership players never to have recieved full international honours for England having been one of the most succesfull captains of Manchester United in my opinion..

Today, Owen didn't do that, and in an international, especially against a team of Argentina's calibre, you need all 11 men involved at all times.
Owen, Horseface and Shearer are different players, you can't lump them into the same category. Now the fact that Owen has scored 35 and is breaking records suggests that he is doing something right, and this has always been his game. He's no creator, he's a poacher who plays off the last man.

naa screw the others i think kilbane would be world class with riquelme playing with him
Still after that 45 yard overhead screamer?

Tevez is a great player apparently in argentina he's considered the next big thing, and having signed him in football manager (which is generally a good indicator of skill) he should become a world beater in a few years. It'll only be a matter of time before he's in europe.
He defo has something about him, and I'd have liked to see him have a better game from a supporter of football perspective. Still, please don't quote FM as a viable source of info!

Please please please Don't take Crouch to The World Cup.. He must be the worst player England have ever had along side The Neville Sisters ever !!!!
I'm so glad I'll never sit next to you at an international.

wehehehe in my heart it is 4-2 ... 4 for england being rooney hit a post.. quite unlucky
We'll be giving them 'goals' 'for effort' next!

Great scenes tonight, but some 'fans' made me sick: "What's it like to lose a war?", "You'll never take the Falklands".

(Infact I'm not sure if England have ever had a Striker on the Field who has yet to have scored for his club !!!!!) ???
We would not have won without the Crouch substitution For England's second goal, Gerrard had been put back into the right back position allowing him to deliver that lovely cross.

For the third, you can see Crouch's er... influence () on Owen's finish if you look at the replay.

    ...was a cracking match!

    rofl :p:

mm though steve bruce (birmingham manager) is quite a quiet and gentle guy, i think if he had a reason, he cud pack a punch

    but pearcey looks more menancing

mark hughes has the best back-up..paul dickov, robbie savage, craig bellamy, andy todd and brad friedal are players you don't want to be on the wrong side of..
No offence, but robbie savage and craig bellamy are pussy's! And this so called "Dickov" is not particularly hard either - he's about 2 foot tall.

To be fair, the first he was under pressure from the tackle. The other two were just poor technique more than anything, considering they're the goals his career is based on.

So effectively your saying he just has to 'wait' for a chance all game?

What if he has someone marking him out of the game? Just stand around and wait for the ball even though he isn't going to get any service?

He is doing something right, in scoring, but he needs to do a lot more, like he used to do when he was at Liverpool, and create things and make a lot more runs.etc

Amazing game, both teams played extremely well.

Giving an unbiased opinion, I honestly believe England played a little bit better and did deserve to win it
