I am sure the goals will come for him now. He's a good goalscorer at heart.
It's good to see that coming from a person with a man u badge as his avatar. Expecially when you get an everton fan giving him stick, they must must be so proud of there strike force of bent, fergerson and beatiie!

I honestly wouldn't swap Crouch for the three of them!

Crouch has brought a huge improvement in our team this season and is one of the main reasons we our 3rd, and if people say otherwise they are either bitter or haven't got a clue!

crouch isnt premiership class let alone liverpool class.
He's been the main striker all season of a team that now lies 3rd in the league!

Of what do you base your opinion on?

I really don't get why the first one is credited as an own goal. Isn't it only an own goal if the ball wasn't heading the goal before the contact with the defending player? The ball was gonna fall under the bar before the keeper (poor sod) flapped at it

Once again - for the second time this season, Mark Halsey ruins any chance of Blackburn getting any points out of a game... not saying we would have won had Todd not got sent off - for which i think was a bad decision, i look forward to seeing it, hopefully we will appeal it to make Halsey look an even bigger fool. I cant stand him as a referee.... why do the FA let a referee from Bolton ref the Blackburn matches?? its obvious he will be one sided as he was today - i noticed not even a yellow card was shown to the Everton player who raised his arms.

Anyway we were poor and Everton capitalised, i thought we were the better team, but once again - we didnt take chances we created.

    Well done Everton.

Own goal for me. Thats the biggest deflection ive ever seen followed by the keeper punching it in his own net. How Crouch can claim that is beyond me

Smacks of double standards to me. If it was hit from 30 yards, deflected and went through the keeper's hands it'd be credited. This is no different.

Then how is it an own goal for the keeper? If he wasn't there, it's goal

If the defender wasnt there then the keeper stops it down by his feet. The fact that the ball deflected by about 65 degrees and then was palmed it into the net is why its an own goal.

But it's been credited to the keeper. If it's the argument "If the defender wasnt there then the keeper stops it down by his feet", then the defender would've been given the og
Also, it's quite common for a ball to be deflected past the keeper (where the keeper would've saved comfortably), but og are never given for those types of goal (or else Joe Cole would still be waiting to get off the mark for Chelsea), so why this one?

It was on target. It was a deflection, not a forceful shot by the defender.

    true.

good play by crouch to create the goal but i personally think it was an own goal it looped completly off course only for the keeper to hit it into the net... i know everyone was desperate for him to score but come on he got a perfectly fine one anyway.......

btw i prefer cisse to crouch any day....

fair play to the guy, he deserved a goal but i think it was a pollitt own goal, as he flapped at it and palmed in into the net, whereas he could have tried to tip it over the bar

    Aye well, Crouch's escapades regardless...

They all say our days are numbered.
