You can't compare Scholes and Keane to Lampard and Makalele. No way. And definitely not Duff/Robben to Giggs and Beckham!

He's at the best place IMO. Liverpool have enough, as do Man U, and he'd struggle for games at Chelsea. I doubt he'd go to London for anyone other than Chelsea so that rules Arsenal out.

yeah, i mean their best midfield, you disagree with my selection?
No, because that's not their best midfield, neither is it the one they employ? Chelsea play a stock midfield of 5, generally

    Makalele
    Essien............
    ............Lampard
    Robben........................Duff

Comparing a successful midfield of a decade ago vs. your hypothetical one of today makes no sense to me. Why not ask the superior midfield or, preferably, team? As for the midfield area, MU wins every time.

Its not even an issue in my eyes......Lampard, Essien/makelle, duff and robben.......or flethcer/park, scholes, smith, ronaldo......Chelsea win every time.

Owen wanted a return to the Premiership, placing himself in contention for Germany. MU were all moneyed out, plus he's more sense than that/ Wenger wouldn't have wanted him; Mourinho overlooked him. We couldn't compete financially with Shepherd. On paper the Newcastle attack should be class and banging in the goals. Instead they're piss poor and their defense is well, atrocious. Serves the silly buggers right for employing Souey in the first place.

the present chelsea midfield would also beat any previous man utd midfield. Kick beckham and he crys so essien would put him out the game. Robben vs giggs is pretty much 50/50, keane vs essien or makelle, on his day keane but tht wudnt b too often and lampard beats scholes anyday. They r quite equal, but chelsea now are pretty invinicable.

Didi doesnt live in Liverpool , he lives on the Wirral, they dont have scouse accents there, trust me!

Sorry, but that is completely blinkered. I take a dislike to Chelsea, but have a hatred of what MU is/was. Man for man, all of the above scum were much better. Obviously, we'll never see those two midfields clash.

i hate man utd as much as the next person, but how many ppl have scored against chelsea? thts not just a defensive performance, thts the midfield as well. all of them had diff qualities but as a unit, im affraid chelsea still tick all the boxes

Of course they don't, but he works, trains and probably goes out in the city. I'm really just comparing now to when he first came.
