Can't find the immediate link, but...

Former Red midfielder Igor Biscan knew he would be moving on after the Champions League win over AC Milan, but retains fond memories and good ties to players and staff at the world famous Anfield club. Returning to his home town of Zagreb before eventually joining Panathanaikos this summer, Igor wished to do something for the many war-orphaned, injured and maimed children of his old neighbourhood and it's surrounding environs.

He turned to Liverpool and with help and advice from the board of his former Club, he went about setting up a soccer school and day care facility funded from his own pocket and with further contributions from other players and people at Anfield. 'I can now go to work full-time knowing my son and daughter will be safe and having a funtime at the centre' said Elena Kovacevic, mother of two and a shop assistant. 'It costs me nothing and helps both my children and myself enormously'.

Elena's is one of many such tales. Other parentless children from the local Jároivic Children's home and hospital(?) also use the centre and it's first class facilities. It is quite something and deeply moving to see a five a side game where eight of the children taking part have a prosthetic whole or partial leg and even occassional arms missing. Gamely they go for it all effort and excitement on the specially child friendly astro-turfed pitch.

Currently plying his trade for Panathanaikos in an up-and-down season for the Greek giants, Biscan has organised a series of charity-sponsorship matches to help fund further facilities at the centre after the World Cup in Germany later this year. It is believed that current and ex-Liverpool team mates will be in attendance as well as many of his current Panathinaikos ones."
I always had a soft spot for him. No fuss, no complaints, feet firmly on the ground by the looks of it too. Just gets on with it, and this is what he's doing now with this charity work. Top class, a giant among men!

I'm just looking forward to English national games being played in England.
But don't things like the FA Cup involve all league teams, which includes Welsh teams too? (I may be wrong).

If so the final has as much right to be played in Wales as in Englsiand...it wouldn't be an Englsih competition would it, but an English and Welsh competition.

Yeah... that's why i said "English national games" and not "The FA Cup final".
But surely 'national games' are gmaes played within a country and 'international' games are games played between countries....if that is what you mean. The team is the Englsih national team, but the games are international games.

And any way, haven't some of the England team games been played in England at other stadiums around the country?

Loads of other leagues around Europe are given winter breaks to recuperate their players e.g. France, Germany, Spain. Do you think the Premiership should follow this trend or should they continue making teams play even more games around Christmas than usual?
No, it wouldnt feel the same

NO!!!! Not only that, they should also extent the christmas schedule to the rest of the year if anything, getting about 40 teams per league!!! matches every 2/3 days, it all makes sense to me!

Yup. Benitez is such a "complete idot" that he sold a player he didn't want, to make £3.5m gross profit. Why on earth would he dream of doing that? Especially when he could could have left him to stagnate; running down his contract on loan as the club has no financial accountability.

Because they're not who he wanted. They don't give the team what Crouch does, in terms of outlet in the air and on the deck. Only one of those 3 was his signing, remember? I'd suggest watching and analysing, not comparing stats on the old Footie Manager.
