    1-0 down, 2-1 up.
    Micheal Owen won the cup
...when a top class Paddy pass gave the lad the ball
Poor old arsenal won **** all

    is how it goes.

And songs about Munich or Shields or whatever are NOT funny

Lampard is not a holding midfielder - he's an attacking midfielder.

All the other top teams look extremely good on paper aswell. England will definately be a hard team to beat considering Eriksons tactics. I think their weakpoint is midfield - for all the talent they have, the midfield has been outplayed against France, Portugal, Brazil and Argentina (even though England won). They seem to give away the ball too cheaply.
Yeah, you're quite right. I don't know what I was on when I posted that.

I think we should watch out for Trinidad and Tobago.

I don't have a good reason why though.

It's just a coincidence that this Munich air disaster programme is on not long after George Best died. They would have made the programme before he died anyway. I'd be interested in watching it too

As you say, Best was a legend and Munich was a tragic event. Such things deserve programming (and are much more worthwhile than an awful lot of programming material). I fail to see the problem.

Ronaldinho can and does play as an attacking midfoield player and as forward on different occasions, at the moment he plays as a forward for Barcelona as what I suppose you might call an old fashioned winger. Henry too started as an old fashioned winger (infact for France World Cup 1998 he played in almost exacly the same postion as Ronaldino currently plays in for Barcelona), but gradually has become much more of a centre forward.

I interpret him to play as a left winger at the moment. I wouldnt class him as a forward.

Please change this thread to have a poll so then we don't get endless posts of simply "Henry" or "Ronaldinho".

Barcelona play 4-3-3, he is one of the 2 forwards that support the centre forward.

A winger always used to mean a forward who played on the wing, when 4-4-2 came to dominate it came to mean the midfielders who play on the wing, so that's why I've called his psotion an old fashioned winger.
