I have suffered the usual grass burns etc and have broken a wrist three times whilst playing football....

I often lose skin and get studded because i am a fairly nasty defender and a once fractured someones ankle.

Last night between Rovers and Man UTD, there was a good song sung to the united lot when Ronaldo dived:

    "Same old cockney's, always cheating"

I suffered a badly bruised back the other week... one of the storage rooms weren't shut properly and I got tripped, went sliding and crashed into the corner/edge. Most recent major injury was a broken wrist, when I was running too fast, pulled the ball back and collided into the wall, left hand first. Erm... also broken my arm once playing football - saved a shot and hand swung back and hit the post... alongside the usual little bruises and knocks.

The famous West Stand in Windsor Park is never lacking when it comes to an ironic chant on International Day, but their trademark is a stadium-shaking "oooooOOOOOOOOOOOOO YOU FAT B*STARD!" while the opposition keeper is running up for a goal kick.

    Schmeichel
    Zanetti Maldini Sammer Cafu
    Figo Viera Zidane Rivaldo
    Van Basten Romario

Subs: Kahn, Baggio, Del Piero, Nesta, Keane

Yes, I'm stretching it a teensy bit, but meh. That'd be a beast of a team. Subs are pretty much interchangable.

come on guys, terry? i know he is good now, but he has only played at the highest level for the last 2/3 years so you can't really regard him as one of the best defenders over the past 10 years. And i do belive van basten retired a whiel before 95, so how he can be in anyones team is beyond me.

Good team. Although I'm not too sure about Zambrotta. Saying that, can't really think of many other right backs..

Yah, realised I'd originally thought about Zanetti. Forgot about him, then remembered him as Zambrotta... then bleh. Anyway, that'd be a more balanced team in fairness, t'other was a bit too attacking. Although again, any of the players on that bench are pretty much as good as those playing.

EDIT: Bah, I'm confusing myself now!

Reckon my favorite of recent times is:

    That coat's from Matalan

Sung to Jose Mourinho. There are also some good ones about Robbie Fowler at Man City. The week after 4-4-2 published it's football rich list where it published the fact he's something like the 3rd richest player in British football cos of him owning loads of houses (which he rents out) there was:

We all live in a Robbie Fowler house,
    Robbie Fowler house,
    Robbie Fowler house... (yellow submarine)

    And then there was:

Put your rents down for the lads.

All good stuff..... All time favourite has to be:

    "We've got that Terry Phelan,
    Woa that Terry Phelan,
    We've got that Terry Phelan,
and he's fast, fast, fast woah.

Terry, Terry, I get down on my knees to you..." Then it always tended to peter out, I'm sure there was another verse but no one knew it....

When I went to see Spurs against Everton a few years ago at WHL, the Spurs fans started singing:

    You are a scouser,
    A lowly scouser,
You're only happy on giro day,
    Your mum's out stealing,
    Your dad's drug dealing,
Oh please don't take my hubcaps away

Full marks to the yids for originality. We usually get 'Feed the Scousers', 'Sign On' and the like as well...

    Vieira*

Yeah I was originally gonna suggest Javier Zanetti, quality player! Well.. of course; we could stick Tony Hibbert in there?

I think he means that they have a pretty huge fan base? St James' is a bit of a beast of a stadium? Nop, can't think of anything else...
