I'd go for Jewell as well. To achieve what he has done at Wigan must put him right up there with the best.

  • Soccer is the idiot's terminology for 'football' (derived from 'Association football').
  • Rugby football is not incorporated in this subforum. There is a plethora of rugby threads in the main forum.
  • Don't be pedantic.

Ah, missed him out. Havent watched to many west ham games to be honest though and like someone said 7 million on ashton?
Well, they've won 7 straight games, in all competitions. Ashton has scored 2 in 2 starts.

I'd go for Jewell, on account of the Carling Cup on top of the Prem.

But for me Pardew is second.

Then it's a tough call for third, Jol has to be in with a shout, as does Pearce, Mourinho and Benitez.

pardew has had money to burn - £7mil on Ashton... wigan have got to a cup final, and i think that if manch utd get champ league, they'll get into europe as well!
pretty good for a team with adrian de zeew
Hey, don't go dissing De Zeeuw.

He's been a fantastic signing for them, along with Henchoz. Two experienced centre halves, who know the game inside out.

Besides Zeeuw is a legend at Pompey and we wouldn't be in the mess we are if Perrin hadn't let him go for next to nothing.

 that's exactly what has happened, the new ones are like reinforced steel...I dare anyone to stamp on them now.
Yeah. Only pain is these new nails may go through your socks more easily and are more difficult to cut. I had to use the bath soon after my injury so I could cut my nails to make it easier. I've got a lot sharper pair of scissors now though.

They need to build on this and get back into European contention.

You've got to be kidding!
I've got more chance of qualifying for Europe than they do

Don't tell me. Rugby is the sport for hard nuts is it? Some of the older footballers like Ron Harris, Roy Keane and Vinnie Jones would give some rugby players a hard time. Nowadays, having seen many BUSA rugby games, it seems there are quite a few individuals out there who take part in rugby just to excuse a punch up. Disgraceful.

He means north east england is where everyone is really passionate and loyal to their local clubs and the fact that they haven't won a trophy in 50 years does not stop the fans from turning up week in week out.

That's the biggest load of rubbish I've ever heard in my life.

Who've we got in the North East? Boro, who don't seem to know whether they love or hate their club / manager / players etc. Newcastle, who claim to be the most loyal supporters who turn up regardless of glory, yet they are the first to spit feathers when it all goes tits up. Most of them turn up because they are expecting the glory any day now, £50m quid down the toilet though, who can blame them ^o) As for Sunderland...the ground is rarely anywhere near full, even when they cart in every school kid in Wearside for free. As for the ones who do bother to turn up, if they aren't shagging in the toilets, hurling their season tickets onto the pitch or sliding in to a state of manic depression, they've no reason to attend. My dad supports Sunderland he ****ing hates them.

So basically, we are about as much as a hotbed of football as anywhere else.

Including the famous North West.
