Because they didn't relay it when they had the chance. Proved to hinder their progress probably more than Barca by the looks of the game!
Well yeah - they obviously didn't change the pitch because they thought it would prove an advantage to stop Barcelona's passing game.

However, Barcelona's 2nd goal would suggest the plan didn't actually work.

Neither Brazil nor Argentina are head and shoulders above the rest of the world.

Which reminds me, at half time - Benfica only treated the half they were attacking. *grr*

That doesn't make sense. You change halves in the middle of the game.

    Whilst we're on the subject.

An early Benfica goal would be disastrous. Would you be able to win by 3-1 to finish it before penalties?

Its been done before, and with a weaker side, alas a side that could score though. I cant see benfica scoring to be honest, our defence is to tight at anfield but i couldnt see us conceding away either.
A early goal by liverpool will make it intresting. The more we push forward, the more they can expose carra and samis pace...
Going to be a good game

I reckon you'll probably win 2-0 or something.

However, I would really like to see Benfica score first and really make a game of it.

They grab an early goal and ill start bein worried, but.. Never count liverpool out when they need three goals. We have the spirit to do it!
Hopefully we have crouch back, hes our biggest goal threat. I just hope if hes playing we get the ball down and spray it around the pitch.

    Crouch.. hehe.

Yeah, he wins a lot of headers. You really could do with him scoring more like he did against United. Cisse/Morientes/Fowler/Kewell useless.

If Benfica can hold out 0-0 till beyond half time it could be very very interesting indeed.
