It was Rovers fault, they only brought their home kit.

Just out of interest, why did Blackburn wear their home kit, when I specifically remember us wearing the yelloe kit at Ewood? This also happened at the recent Wigan game, and we wore our away kit at the JJB.

I dont think us wearing our away kit would have made a difference as they are all very similar....

We wore blue and white halves, white shorts.
Spurs wore white with dark blue sleeves and dark shorts.
Our Away kit - black with black sleeves and pale grey back, black shorts...

They would have all clashed but it was pretty mad that both teams wore blue and white.

Our away kit is a nightmare to see against the fans in my opinion (i have said this all along) and our form in it, backs it up, i wouldnt be suprised if we "forgot" our away kit yesterday! The programme says we were meant to wear black...

I heard that Spurs were going to force us to wear their away kit, but we contacted the FA and they told us to wear our home kit.

Talk about your away kit being unlucky! I cannot recall Spurs getting a point in their all blue strip.

There are some gems that come out of the mouths of players and managers

an Ian Holloway classic - "To put it in gentleman's terms if you've been out for a night and you're looking for a young lady and you pull one, some weeks they're good looking and some weeks they're not the best. Our performance today would have been not the best looking bird but at least we got her in the taxi. She weren't the best looking lady we ended up taking home but she was very pleasant and very nice, so thanks very much, let's have a coffee"

    Gordon Strachan On Wayne Rooney...
"It's an incredible rise to stardom. At 17 you're more likely
to get a call from Michael Jackson than Sven Goran Eriksson."

Zlatan Ibramihovic At the press conference after the game against England. (2004):

Reporter: "You´ve got some scars in your face, Zlatan. What happened?"

Zlatan: "Well, I don´t know... You´ll have to ask your wife about that."

    Anyone else got any?

Im sure if you google it, there will be loads of classic Strachen ones, i remember reading the post match interview in the local paper when he was our manager, was like reading a comedy mag.

Redknapp isn't as great as the media make out I don't think. Yes he'll get the sack next because Alexandre Gaydamak's living subbuteo isn't working as well as Roman Abramovich's.
Yeah i think the media like him cos he's a character, a bit of a chancer.
Maybe he'll go back to Southampton

Do i search for Bobby Robson as well - when he was manager at Newcastle he was always crammed full of ´Bobbyisms´

    1. "We didn't underestimate them. They were a lot better than we thought"

    2. "Hitler didn't tell us when he was going to send over those doodlebugs, did he?" - On why he was refusing to name his England team before a World Cup qualifer against Sweden in 1989"

Yep agree they should have kept him till next season at least, as Sunderland are a championship club and Mick is a championship manager at best.
