    Well actually, no. It's not very hard to police. From reports coming in, the police waited 15-20 minutes doing nothing before trying to stop the attacks. This sounds very similar to the events of the 1984 European cup final in Rome when Liverpool played Roma. Gangs in scooters were attacking and stabbing Liverpool fans left, right and center. What did the police do? they joined in the attacks and robbed the fans, in anger of the loss of their team.

    A year later when Liverpool and English fans were involved in violences with the Juventus fans in the final when 39 mostly Juve fans died, all English clubs were banned for 5 (6 for Liverpool) years from all European competitions. Maybe if the police in Rome did their job the year before, all this wouldn't have happened.
    I agree with that, the police system is very corrup. But, how do you police such a organised strike. If its kept a well secret.

    I hate it when fans shout, "Ole" because it can curse themselves - just like in the attachment.

    Just heard a textbook cliché from Five Live's Don Goodman;

    'At the end of the day, you know, to be honest, you can't question the Tottenham team's work rate and commitment. They'll take a lot of positives from this into the next game.'

    Arsenal - they've been quite solid in the competition so far, altough they are yet to come up against a defensively sound team I think they have the attacking threat to score 1 more goal than the opposition. I'd have to back the Gunners being an Arsenal fan.

    BTW, I can't believe not many people are backing Barcelona on this thread...

    Nice so, where is Liverpool's match with Birmingham City on Tuesday? It's so damn annoying. It's not on Sky either coz it's the FA Cup. Are BBC becoming idiots like ITV?

    It'll probably be almost as dull as the 5-3 thriller with Luton Town.

    This forum has gotten a little messy of late and I haven't been around to keep on top of things.

    So I have merged any threads realted to Chelsea, Man Utd and Liverpool into their own threads.

    Please if you want to make a point about any of these teams post here, that we will not have duplicate posts and will TBH make it easier for me. General footy chat can still happen in UFT.

    Arsenal thread to follow soonish.
