    Robinson

    Neville Terry King Cole

    Beckham Gerrard(c) Nolan Cole

    Rooney Owen

Sven's missed one in not getting the best out of stevie. give him the responsibility of being a captain and we might see some of the performances he gives for liverpool.
i totally agree with you..gerrard needs the armband for england to get the best out of him as he has proved at liverpool.

i wud be shocked if he dnt get the armband next after beckham.
only time will tell if tht does happen, wen the new national coach takes over after the world cup..

do you really think bruce wouldn't say he would stay on and fight on afterall he will get a phat payout if fired and also his reputation would be damaged if he left.

everything said during interviews in football is completely obvious and simple.

    1) Where will you finish in the league?

3rd, ahead of Hearts, who will self-destruct utterly.
    2) How many points will you finish on?

    65
    3) Who will be your top scorer?

    Derek Riordan
4)Who will finish as player of the year?

Ivan Sproule, for scoring 4 times at Ibrox including our first hattrick there in more than a century.
    5) What will your average attendance be?

    15,000
    6) Good/average or bad season?

Above average: trading paint with Celtic at the end of November after 6 away wins on the bounce, but poor run due to injuries in december and january mean slight resurgence not enough.
    7) Will your manager be there at the start of next season?

    yes
8 ) Best game so far?

a tie between beating Rangers 3-0 at Ibrox, beating Rangers 3-0 at Ibrox, beating Rangers 2-1 at home, winning the derby right after Hearts sacked their manager...and, fingers crossed, "winning the derby right after Hearts sacked their manager" will show up again in a week
    9) Worst game so far?

the first derby: 4-0 loss, we didn't turn up.
    10) Who will go up in 2nd place from the championship?

    Blades by a hair.

crouch provides defense for his co strikers because of his towering head
Correct. He attracts attention, hence attention goes walk about when it comes to marking other players - particularly when regarding set-pieces, throw-ins into the danger areas, corners and free-kicks - he's a dangerous weapon, a WMD.

Well most people rave about Frank Lampard being our best midfielder, what about Kevin Nolan, 11 goals from Midfield but yet Eriksson prefers to choose Owen Hargreaves who is over-rated and useless over someone like Nolan who is one of the brightest Midfielders at this current time, oh i will be glad when Eriksson goes, Allardyce for England.
Nolan should definetly be in the squad at the very least. He's immense. Well underated.

He's being spoken about for an England squad place, which isn't underrated in my book, I think people have got his rating spot on. He's never played at international level yet people are talking about taking him to the biggest competition in the World.

Nolan should definitely not be at the world cup, an absolute lack of experience, and its not at a time we can risk it. Its not like we even need him either.

Thats gratitude for you. Why don't you want Ferguson?
I thought he shouldn't have changed his mind about retiring to be frank.

Since then, United have gone down hill. The detrioration can be seen by United's midfield; Giggs and O'shea in the centre.

Ok, you may say injuries have permitted this, but if United are to challenge at the highest level they need a squad with back up. Liverpool have Xabi Alonso, Gerrard, Hamman and Sissoko; they do play Gerrard on the right, but he is a centre mid.

After Keane left and Scholes was injured, United were left with Smith, a striker, and Darren Fletcher, not a good enough centre mid. He had the Winter transfer window to address this issue and failed to do so. Apprently he tried to sign Vogel from AC Milan, but Ferguson is wise enough to have more than one target lined up if he seriously wish to solve the problem.

Perhaps though, as van Nistelrooy is quite obvioulsy leaving, which is somewhat of a disappointment, but you can understand why, this may fund redevelopment. Then this will leave United with Saha, Rooney and Smith (?) up front.

    Granted this is speculation.

I believe that a new manager will breathe life into Old Trafford and provide fresh ideas, rejuvinating the squad. There is talent there; Rooney, Ronaldo, Rio, Edwin, Wes, Vidic, Gary and so on.

Players who should be considered for the squad are:

    1. Stuart Downing (natural left footer)
    2. Matthew Etherington (superb form for west ham)
    3. Dean Ashton (the next alan shearer)
    4. Kevin nolan ( get rid of hargreaves and put him in)
    5. Keiran Dyer (great sub to bring on and change a game)
    6. Aaron Lennon (better than shaun wright phillips?)
    7. Michael Dawson (what a player he is)
    8. Theo Walcott ( Why the hell hasnt he played for arsenal yet? The youngsters always come good at the world cup).
    9. Carrick
    10. Murphy
