QUOTE=Liam The Eagle]f*** Middlesbrough and f*** Steve Mcf***ingClaren. I don't want that red faced w*** stain as the England manager.

I usually want English teams to win, but Middlesbrough winning just means McClaren will be made England manager over better managers. It a good win for Boro, but the further they get, the closer McClaren comes to taking over our most talented squad in decades. He's a waster of a manager, negative to the end and has got nothing on the other contenders but is leading the race only by virtue that Sven picked him as his assistant. What great advice he must have given over the years. I can just imagine him whispering in Sven's ear on a Sunny afternoon in 2002, 'go on Sven, nows the time to bring young hargreaves on, he can do a job'.[/QUOTE]
you mean like how at the END of the game he had only four strikers on the pitch???yup, see what you mean there!

So your basing his whole season on one go for broke tactic?

no...but in regards to a job in which the important games are knockout, he certainly appears to be able motivate players for the big games, get the tactics correct, and is prepared to make bold substitutions ( he could have left macarrone on the bench with the rational that he is **** and wouldnt score anyway), all three of which are crucial for the next england boss ... although personally i want big sam

Blades 4 Forest play off semi final 2nd leg in 2003. What a game it was...never celebrated a goal like Peschisolido's before or since.

Saturdays 3-2 win over Hull was the best since that game though.

mclaran worked with man u in their treble year, he has the carling cup and is in the semi's of uefa- that is better than pearce and allyrdyce ( if you ignore division two titles or whatever)...i want it to be english though; everyone says that you should go for the best man for the job; however, international football requires different capabilities from club football-no need to be familiar with good young brazilians if you cant call them up etc. and a person who can truly sense the pride is better than a mercenary, surely?

    Leicester City 3 - 3 Arsenal

Bergkamp was inspirational, but home crowd at Filbert Street gave Leicester confidence.

    England 4 - 1 Holland

Games against Chelsea where Arsenal continued to slaughter them in year 03-04. A certain Kanu goal springs to mind

    And lastly:

    Man Utd 0 - 0 Arsenal

No score line? What a great match - and I will always love you Keown

remember them doing that with Arsenal as well when Bergy missed a penalty and Giggsy scored a classic at Villa park (semi final)

A draw with Arsenal would be a very good result but of Course a win would be fantastic, gunners are looking tired. i won't be at fratton but i'll be pinned to my radio and sky sports news. And.... Remember if pompey win on wednesday not only will they get out of the drop zone, but Sunderland will be relegated.
