mine is sooooooooooooo the worst...yea she pretends to be nice but she's well evil, u can tell she hates everyone...and even tho i wrk for about an hour in the mornings...its enuff cos i cant stand her!!!

whys ur boss sooo evil then?and why such a bad day???
Well I came into work an hour early today (7am- yikes!) because of a mixup. My manager told me that I had to start straight away and couldn't go home until my 'official' shift was up at 12! He then put me on a section by myself so that 'i'd get my work done without any more hassle' even though I've only worked there for a few weeks and haven't even finished probation. To make matters worse I was later told that he didn't know if there was enough money in the salary allowance to pay the extra hour and so I could have 45 minutes off next week (15 deducted as I took my legally premitted break.)
Thankfully he's not my normal manager and generally its a lovely job. Hope it cheered you up anyway!

Ive only ever had one boss. And that was my father because he is director of the company that I worked for. So that was pretty cool because no matter how much I f****d up, they could never fire me

Well if been working part time in this service station for about a week now. Everyone hates our boss hes a complete s***head. One thing he does is take home cctv tapes of us and watchs them, which he is that allowed to do. Sometimes when he goes away, we take it in turns to steal his car keys and go to his car and steal the tapes and throw them in the bin. He cant do anything to us because hes not allowed to watch them, they are supposed to be sent off to the head office if something is reported. Today after my ten hour shift at a really crap wage, my till was minus 50 pounds and he accused me of stealing it! I was made stay over for 20 minutes with him going through cctv of me, to see if i stole anything! Proved the **** wrong (SUPERVISIOR TOOK MONEY FROM MY TILL!) and he said sorry (he was even going to take it out of my wages!) Also this morning there was this idiot, who thought i was stupid (im predicted 12 a*s in gcses). He bought some crap and it was like 8 pound something, he paid with a fiver and some change (exact amount) and that was that. 2 minutes later he come back and he sure he gave me a twenty pound, he even called me a liar, i checked the till, no twenty! Then took his details, and i he like i was alright, knowing i knew he was trying to take advantage of me in training. Anyone i took his details, and also asked a supervisor to speak to him and show him giving me his money. After that i was on bin duty!!!!!!! I thinking of quitting now, but i like the other people i work with and most of the people i meet. The money really isnt an issue because my parents are quite well off, getting the job really was to improve my own skills on my behalf. What should i do? Is it normal to hate your boss?

Oh yeah, half my job interview was about music! I mean he started asking me about what music i liked, because i wrote on the app. form that i was in a band and played guitar/vocals (thats true by the way.) Then he started slagging off my musical taste, like he called David Bowie a freak! But he likes some bands i like (Pink Floyd, Zepplin, etc.) So the other day i brought in my Bowie Albums and played in the the shop's stereo, and he came out and was like whats that, "thats really good, who is it? David Bowie. What! Thats crap!" How much of a prick is he, and he thinks hes funny too!

that is horrible you shouldn't stay there. did they give you the 20 mins back from watching tapes. petrol stations can have bosses that rip you off. if you live near an airport get a job in a duty free shop that was the best time off my life and out of all terminals british airways had the nicest passengers and staff unlike the other staff on the holiday charter flights

yeah my ex boss is worse than yours.....mine was a complete moron who was soooo up her own arse that she gave ya £2.50 an hour and picked on ya if you were a different religion than her......worked there a month and told her infront of all her customers that she could shove her job where she wanted to and called her a bigotted bitch ^_^ was very proud of myself after that......cause she threw cutlery all round me the night before.... xoxo

I was two great managers! We all have a giggle. I think they find it refreshing to have a teenager working with them that actually is... nice (they've had some real sh*ts before, they don't get a say in who gets hired, store manager does)

My friend went to Waitrose for a 'group interview' today (where a bunch of applicants all go together) and it took TWO HOURS now she has to wait to see if she's been shortlisted to go back for, yes, ANOTHER interview. Isn't two hours enough?! They could have given them all 10 mins for that amount of time instead!

I think the trouble is, with so many people being taught the "company smile" - customers can't tell the difference between a fake smile and a genuine one.

@Bowie88. Your boss sounds like a complete a**hole. Pity you can't get a copy of a video showing him accusing you of thieving when you know damn well you're innocent. The customer who tried to say he paid with a twenty - you meet 'em everywhere.
Sounds to me like you're not appreciated. Time to move on. Good luck.
