    I don't doubt that they suffered, like all religious minorities did, but there wasn't an Arab like expulsion, and many Jews left because they simply wanted to live in Israel.

    There has never been a time in the last 2000 years when there were no Jews in Jerusalem.
    No a few thousand changed. But the ones in the rest of Judea were expelled.
