Names on Certificates

I was just wondering whether anyone who has already done and recieved their GCSE results knows if your full name is meant to be put on your results slip/GCSE certificates?

I know it sounds like a stupid question but I recently found that my school did not know I had two middle names and, although they said they have corrected their system, I was wondering what is meant to be put on all the official documentation. I'm probably just worrying over nothing and finding things to worry about to take my mind off the 25th.

Also...if I find that my name is incorrect on the results slip, would I have enough time to inform the exam boards before the certificates are printed?

The name that will be on your results certificate will be the same as whatever was printed on your entry certificates. It doesn't really matter if it has your middle names on, just so long as it is clearly your name. (So if you go for a job interview or whatever and they ask to see your certificates and they say they are for "Mark Smith" when you've told them your name is Olivia John)

Really? I thought they could be corrected and changed as long as it was enough in advance (and I didn't even know I had entry certificates)! I know it doesn't really matter but i would still prefer for them to be on there.
Well, GCSE results day is the 25th August (not like you didn't know that already! :p: ) and the GCSE certificates are issued in October or November, so you have 2 months to get it changed.

Thanks for both of your help. Now I'll just have to get back to worrying about the results  .

I didn't bother putting my middle names on my papers or entry stuff...I have a double-barreled first name, a hyphen in my surname and 2 'middle' names so my parents were like, 'Don't bother!' I think you can get the certificate changed even after you receive it...but make sure all your documentation from now on is in the exact same name, because if you went to another country for work or whatever, they can be v.picky with sorting out visas etc if you have some certification in one name and passports in another!

I'll try to have them all in the same name from now on. However, as it is only my middle names missing there shouldn't much of a problem. I would be worse if only one of my middle names were added. That would cause too much hassle.

The one on your passport should be right because you have to send off your birth certificate with your passport application. And just ask the school to get it changed.
is this really necessasry.. seeing as it is my middle name? its only one stupid letter e.. an its bvin spelt differently on ldz of dif things... if this is vital then yes i weil do it otherwise y bother??

I don't know how necessary it is for you to change it, but it's not exactly difficult so you might as well do it. Exam certificates aren't printed until October or something anyway, and all you have to do is go to your school and say "Can you get rid of the e please?" so the way I see it, you might as well do it.
