    Define crime and define right, and you'll have your answer. Beyond that it's differing opinions depending how people interpret each word.

    2 views, crime whence necessary for survival, should it really be deemed as crime or just as stated survival?

    2nd option, crime for the sake of it, for having nothing better to do, I cant condone, boredom is no excuse for crime, feeding a habit is no excuse for crime, wanting what mrs jones down the road has got, is no excuse for crime, crime only pays when noone suffers and innocent people arent left picking up the pieces of either the crime, or the lives of the people the crime affected, be it the victim or family of said criminal
