im getting really bored and restless....
i feel like iv spent all summer just waiting for uni...i have nothing to show for the summer and feel like iv done nothing. uni stil feels ages away though its only 3 weeks, but the weeks are going soooooo slowly.
Whats also annoying me is that, even though i try to organise stuff durin the day, my social life revolves around the night time...so i spend all day bored and watchin tv! i feel like i should be outside enjoying the hot (ish) weather but my mates are all busy with work or family or on holiday...dont get me wrong, i dont mind goin to the pub at night, its just depressing when thats all youv done all day! i also need something to take my mind of my dear ex bf. we broke up on sat and coz iv got nothing to do, i just find myself sitting thinkin bout him...im not upset really that we broke up, as it was for the best...i just hate being single and not having a guy to meet up with!
lol, sorry, turned into a bit of a rant.....is there anyone else out there who rings round their friends hoping to organise a day out and just ends up watching tv??!

You could go out and sunbathe in the garden. At least then you'd have achieved a tan :p:

You could clean. I love cleaning. Bake a cake? Learn an instrument? Learn a language? Do some voluntary work?

I'm in the same position. I'm getting quite bored waiting for university but you should try and make the most of the last free time you have. If it makes you happy to relax all day/watch TV then so be it (because you won't get time for that later on). If you want to make yourself feel a bit better about what you do in the day, I suggest you read a lot of good novels and prepare for uni, go for walks (is there a park near you?). Similarly, if you like TV you can always sign up for a DVD rental scheme. :elefant: Keep trying to arrange things with your friends, but also don't neglect your family - you won't see them much after 3 weeks!

The job thing is a good idea but anyone would be hard pressed to find a 2-3 week job!

    Sad.
How is that sad?? It's actually a good idea; not only do you relieve boredom but you're practicing two things which will prove very important at some time or other further down the line!

Who said book reports? It was: 'Write a few essays', and 'read a few books'. Two completely different things, there...

I think you and your mates should organise a HUGE goodbye party to have about a week before you all leave for Uni! That way you have something to think about, the party, and you'll have wicked memories and photo's of your mates for when you're at Uni! Plus you'll need to find some way to celebrate your fantastic results!
