    The provisional results could change, say due to media pressure, a radical change in the grade boundries or other events, but that is highly highly unlikely, the most likely cause of change would be a re-mark.

    So you mean the results we receive next thursday could be changed? Or is that only if you get a remark?
    Well, if you get a much lower grade than you were expecting in something (for example, you found all your science exams very easy and were expecting an A* but got a C) you can ask your teacher to request the papers/a remark, and even if they disagree you should be able to organise it yourself.

    Well I was bored last night so I scanned my brothers AS results slips in for my Grandma to see in Essex- anyway I assume the GCSE results slips will look similar:
