got all my offers = can't choose

Hi :eek3:
I have jsut got my last offer (general engineering at edinburgh)... and realized that I totally can't choose. I put aside Southampton (applied there twice) and now have a huge dilemma with picking 2 out of 3 offers left (general engineering)
Cambridge : great course, ok transport, monstrous conditions.. and I am not so sure if I want to study in a place like this, I mean, I guess every Cam applicant has these worries : will studying there actually be fun, or will it be just too much strain and not enough play? Plus, won't the people be posh and so on :| (Churchill college btw)
Plus it seems weird to reject a Cambridge offer

Bristol - engineerign design. Love the course about same much as Cambridge's and the conditions are lower, but the transport is crap (gotta fly to London, and then train all the way to Bristol through Reading).

Edinburgh: conditions similar to Bristol, maybe a bit easier. Course is cool, but not as awesome as the two before. On other hand, it's free, the city is great and transport is better, too (I live in Europe, and there are cheap flights to Ed from all the airports I use....)

Also, my girlfriend got an offer from Soton... so I am reconsidering it a bit too. Got time till May 4th to make a decision.
Damn, please, help me out  somehow
ps. didnt put the actual offers down, as Im doing european baccalaureate, and probably most people would ahve no idea what they mean
thx for help

Does transport really matter all that much - it seems a very minor problem.
You have an offer from Cambridge and you're having doubts?

What the **** is wrong with you?

Cambridge all the way! If you want to succeed in your field, Cambridge will be an excellent help.

...it's cambridge!!!

You'll probably regret it if you don't go to Cambridge...
If it was me, I don't think I'd ever forgive myself for turning down Cambridge!

Cheers

Anyway, I need to choose the insurance  Coz by "monstrous conditions" I mean "it is pure luck whether I achieve them or not" (i.e. among other things I must get 95% in my physics exam... and i don't think anyone has got such a result within past several years in my school ^^). True, transprot doesnt matter that much; I still think of it though.

I am mroe biased towards Bristol from the two left, but I'm still unsure. Anyone studying at either Bristol or Edinburgh and could comment? ^^

Choose your favourite two. I'm in exactly the same position as you though. I have two top choices, but am struggling to decide whether I should go to the one with the best reputation or not. In all fairness I probably will go to the one with the best reputation, as it will probably lead me further in life. If I was you I'd probably choose Cambridge as my firm and Bristol as my insurance (as long as you think you can definitely get Bristol's conditions). Oh, and I live in Bristol if you have any questions  lol
Put Cambridge as your insurance.

Cambridge is (I think) the top for general engineering, so long as you don't want to specialise whilst on the course. Travelling to Cambridge would be roughly the same as to Bristol (you'd need to go to London etc). Southampton is very good for engineering, why have you eliminated that? To be honest, you've got a great line up and I fully understand why its difficult to choose and I get what you're saying about Cambridge being a bit too much.

Someone once told me that if you're going to go into a standard engineering job, for example, i'm going to go into contracting (i'm civil), then it doesn't really matter what uni you go to so long as its accredited. However, Cambridge will give you that further push and could lead you to a 'non standard job', if that makes any sense.

Oh and if you're in Edin, seeing your girlfriend will be a problem, its a 7/8 hour journey unless you fly.
