Does being short make your boobs look bigger?

Bit of a story behind this one. My friend is about 5"7 and I'm 5"1, so she's relatively tall and I'm quite short. We are both 34Bs, but my friend is always considered 'the one with small boobs,' and I'm known as 'the one with big boobs.'
So I just wondered if anyone had any theories on being short and if it makes your boobs look any bigger :smile:

I'd think so yes? it's like muscle, if someone say 5'8 and a 6'3'er put on the same amount of muscle the shorter person would look a hell of alot more muscular.

yeh definately! Everything is in noticed in proportion so a short person with large breasts wont seem as in proportion as someone who is quite tall making them seem bigger.
Well thats my logic anyway :rolleyes:

I think its because we are staring right at them from above so it makes them look bigger.

It's just proportion..but it can make shorter girls look kinda chunky :-\

Yeah, short girls boobs will look bigger than tall girls boobs even if they are techically the same size. Its in proportion, same with mens parts I imagine?!

I reckon so. The distance between you shoulder and waist is shorter, so it looks like your boobs are taking up more room than they are I suppose!

It's a proportion thing, if you are shorter your boobs look bigger in comparison with your body compared to somebody who is taller :smile:

I reckon there are probably more factors than just height.. for example how you dress. If you look at Trinny and Susannah's "What Not To Wear" book, you can see that from the pictures they take, clothes can have a HUGE difference on what your figure looks like. Also, your weight and figure will have an impact.. if you have a washboard stomach and are generally toned, your boobs will look bigger because they're the most obvious curves. But if you're normal or a bit chubby, they'll look smaller in proportion because your tummy, bottom, arms and thighs will also be curvy. This is of course presuming that the theoretical super-toned or normal woman are wearing the same size bra.

Oh yeah, and the reason I say this is because I'm also 5'1 and have bigger boobs than you but no-one refers to me as "the one with big boobs"!

i'm sure it does. for a start, if you are shorter than her then you are also likely to be smaller than her - i.e. smaller waist/hips etc - so there would be a larger bust to waist ratio, therefore yours would seem bigger.

i, myself, am about 5'3'', i have aa-cup breasts, and it really doesn't bother me, because the fact that i'm small seems to mean that their smallness is less noticeable. i'm not saying i don't get the odd joke about it, but i don't think that i'm horribly out of proportion or anything, and no-one has ever said that i am. so i'd definitely reckon that being shorter makes your breasts seem bigger - or, i suppose, it just makes it easier to carry off having a smaller bust. it's all about the proportions.

Yeah but to be honest, if a girl is really tall and slim then its natural she might not be ample breasted and this looks in proportion. When tall slim girls have massive breasts then that looks out of proportion. So i think tall people could actually carry off a smaller breast better in that case.

true. but then the same goes for being short and curvy - you could carry off having ample curves without being big. i just mean that if you're short and have small breasts then you can still look like you are of average proportions, whilst a tall girl with small breasts would probably be classed more as 'willowy' (which isn't a bad thing, of course. i wouldn't mind being more willowy and less like an oompa-loompa, myself).
