It was one of the reasons why my first relationship didn't turn out xD

Tehe, socialists~
No racists, no fascists, no communists, no man united. Everything else is fine.
Well the complete opposite of my views are thus: Authoritarian, racist, sexist, anti-drug, homophobic, theocratic (if they also happened to be religious). So no. I can't stand any of those things.

No..

I wouldn't mind if we don't agree all on political debates, and it wouldn't be interesting if we did, but I couldn't be with someone who is radically against what I believe to be fundamental principles. I can't imagine how we'd get along, as political views are influenced, and in return influence one's general outlook on life.
no :erm:

Hi,

Would anyone be willing to speak about the fact they have opposing political views from their partner? Or do you know anyone who would be, parents, aunts and uncles or family friends? It would be for Channel Five News? Message me back if you are interested.

If it would cause problems within the relationship then no probably not.
Pink Bullets
Depends.

I would not date anyone who espoused any of these beliefs:

-Sexism
-Racism
-Homophobia
-Pro-life
-Anti-immigrants/xenophobic

These are completely non-negotiable. Anything else is fair game.

So someone who was against abortions you wouldn't date? That's a bit extreme, isn't it?

Uh. 'Extreme' is the last thing I'd call it.

On a practical level, if I got pregnant in the near future, I would have an abortion. If my boyfriend thinks I'm a murderer, I can't see much hope for the relationship.

On principle, I'm not interested in men who don't respect women.
