Where To Take My G/F?

I Live in London and my g/f in Manchester.
Where would be an ideal place to meet, thats quiet, has places for couples to relax and talk and is only an hour away from Manchester Picadilly train Station.

My G/F is down due to a family death and I want to just take her to a place to ease her mind and just relax her totaly.

Any Ideas FOLKS?

Does Manchester have a zoo? If so, take her there perhaps?

Have you told her that you're going to take her somewhere etc..? You should try and keep it a secret and, providing you know she's free that day, totally suprise her.

Surely anything like a starbucks or similar would work? They're absolutely everywhere so shouldn't be hard to find.

Personally, as someone who's also had a family death fairly recently, I thought distraction was good, so maybe take her to the cinema? That should take her mind off it for a bit

You could take her to Chorlton water park. Massive area with a lake, wildflower meadows, woods etc. Very pretty, nice and peaceful too
:ditto: A walk around the park!! (which is wat i plan to do with my sweetheart when i get to the UK)

Cambridge - take her punting!
Seriously a picnic in a park is the best idea!! You can make it as simple or as extravagant as you want. It's a really nice gesture and you can just chat and go for walks etc. Maybe take a frisbee or seomthing. If you want to find good parks just search on the internet - you're bound to find something. The woods/waterlillies park sounds great!!! good luck, i hope she enjoys it
