Yep - I'm in The Citizen. Voted best regional paper in the country for the past two years! I'm on their website too, but there's no picture online - http://www.thisisgloucestershire.co.uk/displayNode.jsp?nodeId=138514&command=displayContent&sourceNode=138497&contentPK=13037990&moduleName=InternalSearch&formname=filtersearch

Ooh fab, are you the one who got six As?! well done  Here I am, no pic online though:

The Halesowen News is a bit incompetent though, they managed to get some stuff wrong about my friend Jess who's also going to Oxford. And I don't think I said all of that stuff in one sentence. Sillies.

"She will now read English at Somerville College, where Margaret Thatcher studied. "

She will now study English and French at St John's College, where Tony Blair did his studies.

Hehe...they have you both painted as mini Thatcher / Blairites. (same thing really...)

jeez lots of people with 5 As etc... moderately scared that with my 3As i'm gonna b classed as unintelligent scum :P
Don't worry Russell, often one of those A's is General Studies so it doesn't count.
I only did 3 A-levels (but 2 ASs aswell, so I suppose it equates to 4) and I did fine in my first year.
Reply 118
I only did 3 as well.. hardly anyone even asks about A-levels, and even if they do it's just to fill in conversation gaps and attempt to find things in common rather than assess how intelligent you are. Just bear in mind that firstly, the number of A-levels you do is largely down to circumstance and opportunity rather than intelligence (my school firmly believed that because unis only require three A-levels, that's how many you should take!), and secondly, anyone who'll judge you are only doing so to see how they themselves compare to everyone else- and anyone who does this is likely to be insecure or immature
Reply 119
cheers 4 words of support, suppose it does make sense really. the only reason i did 3 not 4 was coz i did german AS level and it drove me mad - i couldn't of coped with another year.. oxford's gonna b gooood
