St. Andrews Financial Economics?

The Student Room,

Hey everyone, I am new to the student room and am unsure how all of this works but hopefully my thread catches!

I am an international student and have recieved conditional offers from St. Andrews for Financial Economics, and from Edinburgh for Business Studies.

However, since I am not from the UK, I have no idea of these schools' reputations, specifically for the programs mentioned. There are many good business schools in Canada, where I am from, and am looking for some reassurance on the British programs' quality.

Flatly, is St. Andrews Financial Economics, either the MA, or the BSci, any good?

St Andrews is rated in the top 10 for economics in Britain. After oxford, cambridge, lse, ucl and Warwick it's as good as anywhere.

Thanks for your reply!

I am also wondering, do employers look differently at the MA and BSci degrees?

At this point, I figure I will be working "in the city" one day, and would like to know if one is more preferred than the other...
