Sussex Uni Accomodation - Stanmer Court?!

I am a prospective student for 2010. I am pretty keen on en-suite accommodation. I would also like to be in a healthy mix of international students and British students. At the moment I have favourited Stanmer Court, can anyone give me the low down on this particular site or recommend me any other accommodation.

Obviously the cheaper the better.
Hmm not sure would put it first choice, its literally next to the train station, as in trains going past your window if your on that side! so would be pretty noisy. Also feels a bit more isolated from rest of campus. I do know some people who love it there though, so guess its more personal preference.

If Sussex is only your insurance choice you are highly unlikely to get en suite anyway unfortunetly. I was firm and got my 7th choice.

sadly i have to agree, most people who have sussex as their insurance don't get near their first choices, as the office promise everyone who puts it as firm accommodation so sorts them all out first...a lot of people who go through clearing dont get accommodation at all. i was a firm and got my 6th choice and got put in park houses, which i ended up loving (see my post on the other 'recently updated' accommodation thread)...have a think about whether you'd want to live in park houses/east slope/park village, then put whichever one you'd prefer nearish the top, the office might take heed and put you there...i dont want to upset you but your chances of getting an ensuite as an insurance student are quite low...but dont let that stop you putting it down, i dont want my 'theory' to be untrue and you to miss out!

I'm going to be honest- I hated Stanmer court, it was miles away from everyone and I honestly don't feel en suite was worth it in the end.

Whilst this may be true, most people put Stanmer last choice. It's muuch harder to get into halls like Lewes Court or Brighthelm

Options starting at most sensible

1: Use the shared toilet in your flat.
2: Run to nearest toilet in other university buildings
3: That's what the sink in your room is for...
4: That's what your hands are for...
5: That's what your sleeping room-mates open mouth is for...

Sir, you disgust me.

With the already dreadful feeling of a thumping head and lying beside a lass that looked hot last night yet you now realize competed with Quazi Modo for the lead in a Hunch Back of Notre Dame, I think a festering turd in the sink is the last thing that you would desire.
