What's Reid Hall like?

Hey, I've just seen on the RHUL website that I'll be in Reid in September, and I'm quite dissapointed, mainly because I really wanted self-catering. But whether or not it is seems a bit unclear. The website says catered, but with "large pantries"- whats this mean? Also, what's it look like? I can't find any pictures.

Lastly, is it a nice place to be living?

Thanks!

I stayed their last year. It was perfectly fine. Decent sized room and most importantly en-suite. Pantry icludes kettle, microwave, fridge and toaster. One of the girls bought an electrical hob, so effecticvely self catered. Also catered residents get huge discounts on dining hall food.

The only bad thing is the termly let, but i suppose thats why it was cheaper.

How can you check what hall you are in?

I spent an hour going round royal holloway at around 7ish today and it really is cool. Sadly I will not be staying in the halls but they are meant to be some of the best.
Thanks so much, I'm feeling much better about it now!
You don't have to let your room over the vacation periods.
