If you don't like the subject it isn't worth doing it, even though she would only need a 180 for an A at A2, which is the C grade boundary. Damn....that would be awesome.

self indulgent? of course it give a stuff bout the characters..the boys obsession centred round the girls.. if the narrative was from the girls viewpoint, it wudnt hav been so interesting to interpret

    whats the great gatsby bout?

I didn't do AQA Lit but I got 596/600 which was a nice surprise, but now a week has passed I have forgotten to be thankful for getting an A and am annoyed about the 4 marks that went awry in paper 4 - very pathetic way to feel I am afraid. Who wrote the virgin suicides? Sounds good.

But the VS was so cold...the girls were like exhibits, not real people, and only Lux was concentrated on (she was the only character I actually cared about).
The Great Gatsby is about a mysterious rich man and his love for a superficial but beautiful married woman. The narration was the best part about this novel, from the point of view of a friend. Explosive ending, I was riveted from start to finish.

EDIT: Jeffrey Eugenides wrote The Virgin Suicides. I personally prefer his novel Middlesex.

Ive got middlesex..my mum is reading it atm..
I think that the fact that VS is "cold" is the reason i loved it so much.. the fact that the boys were so obsessed with the girls but the readers could never identify or relate to them made the story so much more interesting. I dont kno..mayb its coz i read it when i was younger and have loved it since.
I mite have to read The Great Gatsby..whos it by?
