I got a U for this module. 30/90 *hangs head in shame*

The thing is, I thought the exam went well! I did better on ENB6, 98/120 which is an A. The U on editorial dragged me down to a B though

    How did everyone else do?

50/90. Editorial Writing is normally my thing I didn't particularly stick to the target audience though. Ah well.

I got 30/90. My dad wants me to appeal or have it remarked, but I still got into my firm choice so it seems kind of pointless to me, but then I was so close to an A it might be worth it.

I got 64/90, which is a B. Apparently, this one's a hard paper according to my English teacher and most people got U's in it last year at my college. I'm not sure what happened with me this year. ^_^'

I got 86/90, which was a complete suprise, as I really wasnt pleased with what i'd written at the end of the exam.

I think editorial writing performance is down to what marker you get though, as if the marker understands and appreciates the style you have written in..you end up with a better mark, as theyve enjoyed reading it.

Meh. I'm miffed by it because had I got just 2 more UMS I'd have got an A overall. It's not fair and my editorial writing was definitely not worth a ****ing U.

I got 42/90, an E. I was really disappointed because I'd done so well on the other modules, especially last year, and this dragged my overall grade down to a B, about 10 UMS off an A! English language was one of the subjects I felt totally comfortable with, I was predicted an A right from the beginning even though my attendance wasn't good and editorial writing is something I should be able to do with my eyes closed! Not sure what happened, but I still got into my first choice university so I'm not bothering to appeal.

Does anyone remember last year, a lot of people did poorly on the social contexts paper? I got an E I think, thinking I'd done really well, then retook it in January, worried I'd done terribly and got an amazingly high A.

Anyway, whoever said it depends on the examiner marking your paper - I agree completely.

I got 65/90 (B) and I'm still shocked. I felt I had done terribly in that exam - I didn't even have chance to start my commentary and my article definitely wasn't strong.

76/90 for coursework, 99/120 for acquisition/change. Does anyone know the overall boundary to have got an A? I got a B, mostly brought down by AS results, but I'm not sure how many more marks I would have needed for an A.

74/90 for editorial writing...i didn't feel that comfortable with my response and even made a really stupid obvious mistake. my language change was 74/120 as well which wasn't too great...but coursework 86/90 and last year full marks..so still one very contented languages student! maybe others should think about remarking papers as Es and Us don't sound right..!

    i got 90/90
(i got 90/90 in the coursework and 118/120 in the other one. I can't remember what i got for AS...my mind doesn't stretch back that far!)

I'm not sure how though, i literally had about 2 hours sleep the night before and i really didn't think any of it made sense. Apparently it did!
