if they say you're accepted, and if UCAS tell you the same, then yes, you are accepted.

You must have made a good impression.

Reply 3

I was going to add that, but didn't want to depress the thread creator, even though i'm sure they wouldn't care. If you're in, who cares how?

trust me the course it not undersubsctibed its eletrical and eletronic engineering man...i mean..i dunno whats happening here..

Electrical Engineering dosn't have much demand these days so thats probably why they are letting you on. At Salford things got so bad they decided rather than lowering the entry requirements just to scrap the course.

I was sure I hadn't got into Bangor when I first opened my results then I phoned and the girl said I was in (without begging or grovelling) and I just went "YOUR KIDDING" really really loudly!

Yeah... I got in to Nottingham for that...
I don't know why people don't want to do it

Yeah my insurance choice needed CCC and I got CDD and I got in... but I decided to do a foundation year at my firm choice beuase I would rather spend 4 years at a uni I REALLY want to go to as opposed to one that I'm not particularly bothered about. My firm needed BCC.

Good thing with a foundation year is its not subject specific... so at the end of it, if I decide it wasnt Computer Systems Engineering I wanted to do afterall (from what I've learnt over the year), then I can go onto a degree which is for me. Plus an extra year at uni is OK with me!

dun worry mate....my friend got DDE and still got offered from his original uni with the same course which required CCC initially

They can accept you when you slip 1 or 2 grades.

My friend got EEE and got into Sunderland to do history. His offer was 160 and he got 120.

you should be alright. Did they ask to confirm your name? I dont think they can make any mistake coz u gave them ur ucas appli number, didnt you? It should be alright. I had the same feeling yesterday. :d I was about to call them again in the afternoon to make sure if it's true but I decided to wait a bit longer. Later on the day, I checked on Ucas track and see the word: Accepted in red.

Soon you will see that too. :P

Tell us the news soon after u find out, ok?

Ciao ciao

I started doing it at college but I found the physical side of it very difficult, although at university I should imagine its different. With electrical engineering though there is a lot of maths and physics involved, and both these courses are in decline.

It seems people don't want to difficult degrees anymore.

Offer: BBB. Grades: BCE. Accepted. I feel really bad...but it was English.

Its very unlikely they will have made a mistake, and UCAS & the unis are really busy so im not surprised theres some delay on the update. The universities get the grades about a week in advance and therefore have already taken decisions on people who have missed offers by results day in the majority of cases.
