I have never had any problems finding a job in London. I have worked in a variety of areas though and have a lot of experience in different fields.
Part-time jobs can be a bit tricky, too. A lot of companies like to give you zero hour jobs and then call you in when needed.
A couple of companies that you should check out on the web and just walk in to are:

Oddbins
Threshers
HMV
Starbucks and the like
any shops (Topshop) etc

If you have any experience in bar work, do that. It is fun and fairly easy :tongue:

The voluntary sector has many part time jobs available, probably more than most sectors.

Some of the leading web sites where you can receive emails of new jobs include -

There are also many voluntary roles that can lead on too.
