I got my AS results which were ABBC- A-Politics,B-EconomicS,B-GEOGRAPHY(which ive dropped after taking exams-stupid choice lol)C-History.

Right now im thinking of resitting Econimics so i can get an A as 240/300 is A and i got 224/300. So i'm gna resit 1module.
History-im gna resit but how many mpdules outa the 3 shall i resit. I got total 192/300.

I want to study law but with these grades i dont where i will be able to apply now or wil i be able to get higher preidctions and apply sowmehre decent?
Cany anyone get back to me thanks

The only way you can get higher predictions is if your teachers decide to do this for you. You have to go, and grovel, but in a very logical way. If they don't feel that ABBC is the best that you could have done and feel that you could do better then they may predict you higher grades.

However, teachers don't like to predict highly if they feel there's a chance that you might get lower grades - it makes them look bad. So, it may be a challenge.

Which history exam did you take? I got a C in my AS as screwed up my Nazi Germany module, retook that one and ended up with 100% and got an A overall.

If you make your personal statement good you should get interviews at least where you can sell yourself more, though getting higher grade predictions would help. Also, make sure your personal statement is fantastic. My friend got straight a's and no offers as her personal statement was not good. Don't give up and stay positive.

Thats what I did. It could be worth getting unit 1 remarked as edexcel are kinda crap, they missed 30 marks off one of my friends papers. A retake is good option though and im sure you'll improve your grades. The hardest thing with history is technique so just do loads of past papers and get your teacher to mark them.

Did you do a coursework module as you could redo that without the stress of exams?

Um, not sure on law. Do you want to move away as sometimes local unis have to give you an offer? Im going to Sussex (can't move too far away as would miss my dogs!) which is really nice though not sure what their rep is for law.

these are the best unis generally:

What unis were you lookin at, id say u can apply anywhere you want, but its best to choose a few lesser unis in ur six so u get an offer.

Well, if you resit one economics module and maybe two history modules, you might get your grades up to AAB or AAA and you'll still have your B in AS geography. If your teachers believe you're capable of doing better than ABC and are confident that you'll improve with resits, they might predict you AAB and I think there are quite a few universities that will accept that for law. As far as I know, you can decline your grades and just put predictions on your UCAS form. Apply to a few universities with lower offers just in case though.

I'd talk to a careers advisor at your college or email or phone a help line.

This website is really good, maybe you could look through it or talk to one of their advisors.
