My Weight [Im a size 16/18 and very tetchy about it]

Hi,

rigght here my problem, basicaly its the fact that im quite overweight (size 16/18), im 17.
I just need some good tips, on how to lose it,
well i know the Basics, exercise, dont eat many fatty foods. Fair enough i do that, i do at least 50 sit ups a day, n im cleanin (its my part time job) for 4 hours a day (which burns alot of calories) but still, i dnt seem 2 be losing weight!! n its rly gettin me down, My boyfriends (2) havent cared about this, but i really do, it gets me rly down.
Plz if anyone is/has gone thru the same thing, or even if you know anythin about this kinda situation, plz give me some advice

btw out of interest is a size 8 normal for a girl of 20? or is it size 10?... I'm just wondering cos I don't know much lol.

Why are you doing sit ups?...you can't spot reduce fat. Build some proper muscle like your legs and arms so you can burn more calories. 50 sit ups a day is useless if you are trying to build muscle, your body needs time to build muscle all you are doing is continually breaking it down.

Eat CLEAN food. No processed *****. Create a calorie deficit - exercise and eating clean food in moderation should do this. Don't cheat. Drink water. Create small goals. If you don't like the whole 'exercise' thing, things like cleaning can be good. Do you play any racket/team sports? if not, suggest to friends that you do. Hell, even more walking can count.

. Do you play any racket/team sports? if not, suggest to friends that you do. Hell, even more walking can count.

Yep i try to walk the dog for an hour everyday, but it only rly happens 2wice a week, n its a good idea suggestin the sports, coz me and my m8 love tennis

Also try and tighten up your transverse abdominus muscles, the stronger they are the mor ethey pull your stomach inwards. To do this do a bicycle crunch and exhale as much as you can on the crunch. Remember to do it properly, not how many you can do. and only do it 2-3 times a week.

diet, eat more fruits and cut all of the junk have 1 day free, move alot,go to the gym
try doing the GI diet, it will keep you fuller for longer and is a healthy diet to do. www.glycemicindex.com also try doing some cardiovascular exercise that leaves you physically tired rather than just muscular exercises.

anyway, run run run, dont eat much. if you plan on actually taking my advise, supplement with a multivitamin, EFAs, and lots of water.

Has nobody bothered pointing out that a size 16 is average for a woman in Britain now? A size 12 was average in wartime when they were rationing - now its a 16. :smile:
