I got my degree from U of A. Be warned, ye who travel to aberdeen - RGU students tend to get treated as second class citizens! I didn't do any of the dissing, but that's the general attitude from most people at AU. It doesn't help that AU keep beating them in the granite city challenge.....

I should shut up now before I get lynched.

No don't bother, it's the same with the University of Glasgow and Glasgow Calidonian. I don't think that a Masters in Pharmacy is a second class degree do you? I just love the snobbery of the whole university system. So what did you study?
Ha my Sister is a lecturer there if that says anything.

I totally couldn't tell you. I'm going there in two weeks  They have been absolutely lovely to me. I haven't had to post one thing. I have e-mailed everything. They have been more than accommodating

Neither the University of Glasgow or Glasgow Caledonian offer a Master of Pharmacy degree. The only uni's in Scotland that offer this degree are Strathclyde and Robert Gordon.

HI!

Yes I've just applied to study Forensic Science at Robert Gordons. When I went to the Open Day everyone was really friendly and the labs were really up to date. Not like Aberdeen Uni, which is a bit shabby in some places but the people are nice there too, especially the Medical school. Anyone know anything about the RGU Union?
ive applied but I am struggling with the wait for an offer!!!!

I'm waiting for Pharmacy by the way

God, I know. I've sent the UCAS stuff to my referee, but on apply it says it hasn't been checked yet. I wish he'd get a move on because I've only applied
to one course and need to know what grades i need this year.
I can't find anyone who's from RGU to say when they got their offer for the uni espesh for pharmacy.

Much the same as the nitelife at Aberdeen uni... Brilliant! Loads o pubs and clubs to choose from with plenty student deals. The RGU union is quite good, on three or four floors with 2 bars in it.

my mum went to RGU and keeps trying to convince me to go to greys school of art there. i think she just wants me as far from london as possible. she said the nightlife is great, but that was in the 70s..

i did read somewhere that RGU has the best post-grad employment in the UK (think about it, majority are active courses like dietetics or pharmacy, so you don't have the lots of students wondering what to do with their degree in english or philosophy)

Will be startin my OT degree at RGU in september - am scared to death!
I think RGU are quite slow at the whole lot from what i've heard (although Cally takes the crown for agonising waits) but will always be in time, so dont fret.
Nightlife is fab - the city centre actually buzzes. Belmont street is the place to go - and its right next to the RGU union so no need to worry there!
Any freshers in here in my boat?

soo.... whos studyin pharmacy at RGU? anyone ........no..... :frown: *sniff* yeah personally RGU is wayy bttr than Aberdeen uni only because all or at least most of RGUs courses are accedited by professional organisations, which was one of my resons for RGU also RGU is second to Cambridge for graduate employment after 3 months of having graduated i think it was... and plaus RGU has modern buildings on a greenfield site and probably one of the finest sport complexes in Scotland. So yeah thts y i think RGU is better plus the Kings Collage buildings dispite its picturesque appearance seem to be damaged and look as though they'll collapse lol only good thing i can really say about aberdeen is that its IMS building is impressive but also the requirements to get into some of the courses are rediculous, tehy wanted my to get 2 adv B's to do biomed when i already had the requirements to get in and RGU was giving me an unconditional plus their course was accredited by the Institue of biomedical science.
yeah Belmont street is definitly the best hahah right across the road :P
