What does VSRG (in biology) stand for?

We've been given a sheet by the teacher and it has topic abbreviated to VSRG on it, any idea what it stands for? I know it's probably something really obvious and simple, and since it's easter I can't really ask her :confused:

It might be Voltage-Sensitive Receptor Gating?
Are you at school/college or university because I doubt you will cover the above topic at A-levels, unless maybe its a small bit of what you'll learn regarding the nerve synapse and neurotransmitter release (does the paper have either of those two topics on it as well?).

Erm... we have learned a bit about that actually! Thanks very much, just IU googled it and looked through like 20 pages of results and brainstormed some biology words beginning with those letters, trying to think of something but I obviously didn't think of that... cheers mate :biggrin:

I forgot what it meant exactly but I swear it's in the evolution topic to do with variation, speciation etc. I forgot though

So I think it's within the evolution, variation topic, I can't remember exactly if this is correct but I think it's along the lines of something like Variation, Speciation, Reproduction, Gene I think, not sure, but that's the only VSRG I've came across
