Can someone confirm that "C" is the top floor? I've done a bit of detective work, and have come to the unwelcome conclusion that I'm in a garret room.

I'm certainly only paying for "Small, without washbasin"... althought I did notice on my way round in April that some of the so-called "Small, with washbasin" rooms are about the same size as my room at home (not what I'd call small!)

oh yeah, and my big room was also known as 'small, without washbasin'

Ooo, thank you  There is hope yet!

I'm in MWC.02, do you remember anything about it?
And does it look like the picture of a garret room in the prospectus?

hmm... mwc2 is smallish. I knew the people who lived either side of it, and I was on that corridor.
It doesn't look out over the lawn, so probably wouldn't have been in the picture in the prospectus, but similar to those rooms, yes.

How small is "smallish"? How would it compare to, say, the rooms in Sheavyn?
Reply 15
Ok, thanks... I just hope I don't bump my head too much on the sloping wall!

So, er... now that we're all here, anyone fancy owning up? I'm sure I must have seen you all around by now, whoever you are...

Hi,
I got my accommodation letter and ive got into Ashburne Hall. Its all girls hall and im undergrad so kinda worried. does anyone know anything bout this hall? i would really like 2 hear what peop think of the halls and if socializing with other halls like the 1 we share with (cant remember what its called!!) is a problem?!
thanks!

I live in Manchester ... just down the road from Ashburne Hall. It is in a really good location. The hall is nice looking and looks quiet but is right on the edge of the massive Owens Park student village so it is the best of both worlds. It is within easy walking distance of Manchester Uni, or you can get a bus for 50pence (£3 for a weekly ticket).
