I don't know about the interview itself, but for all the rest of you saying you can't get an interview or whatever, I do have a piece of advice. I met a woman who works for the council doing education business partnership things, where she finds local business people and takes them into schools to talk to people. Anyway, she told us about how she had gone into River Island and they were sorting through application forms, and they were just shredding absolutely loads of them without really looking at them, so she asked them what was wrong with them, and the manager told her that they automatically shred all the forms where the person hasn't followed the instructions properley, so if it says "Complete in block capitals in black ink" and it's not in capitals or it's written in pencil, they automatically shred it without looking at all your wonderful qualifications and experience, because they think if you can't follow an instruction that simple, you won't be able to work effectively on their team. Obviously, this was true for one branch of River Island (metrocentre), so I don't know whether it happens at other branches, but it's just something to be aware of.

well, river island is hardly good is it. If it were me, i would turn up wearing a potato sack in order to ensure that i didnt get the job. Probably still would though.
