Skin allergy? Flared Spots? I don't know! Help! =(

Hi folks

Well, let me describe the symptoms...

Ever since about 2 weeks ago, i started getting very itchy in various places across my back and legs, and then after the itchyness kicks in, it seems like the spots on my back (im quite spotty there :frown:) flare up! I mean this happens REALLY quickly, and it looks almost like heat spots, as in they're raised from my skin, in a smallish bump, and look red, almost like insect bites because there is really no pus/gunk in them when squeezed. They dont hurt, but itch like a mofo!

I took an anti-allergy tablet the other day and they disappeared very quickly, and what i did was take the tablet, but forget it the next day, and it didnt appear that day. but the day after it appeared again, so i took the tablet again. Its really annoying me and i might have to go to the Doctors. I believe it may be some allergic reaction to a new washing powder my mum bought at around the same time they appeared, but I dont know! The only thing is I cant escape it as ALL my clothes have been washed with it, and my bed covers! Ive been okay the last couple of days, but its come back again now, and my back is really itchy! Ive just put some skin irrition/itching cream on the places that are itchy (the cream is called Lanacane). Any suggestions? It may not be the washing powder, is it something else all together. It only seems to occur at night before bed! Never feel itchy or have the raised spots during the day! thanks for any help!

It could be something such as deoderant or aftershave even.

Have you been getting stressed out lately? Stress can bring on skin irritations. I would say go to the doctors and get it checked out. Your doc. can then prescribe you with a stronger cream or body wash to help clear the spots up and something to help prevent this happening in the future possibly an antihistamine medication.

I havent really been getting stressed! On one day I did, only cause of silly girlfriends but thats it! Been chilled really! I dont wear aftershave, thought it may be deoderant, but ive been using the same for a year, and dont spray my legs. I'll book myself in for a doctors appointment asap and get it sorted  its just had me worried!

It does sound like an allergy. Keep taking antihistamine tablets, and go and see your doctor. Also, make sure you know where they appear (as in all over or just in certain areas) as that can help identify it.
