lol it means it dont run why would you wanna buy a non runner :\ the best thing to do with a non runner is sell it for parts

Depends WHY it wont run.

If its seized, then it might be internal - ie the engine wont turn because of water/rust in the pistons, or it might be external, such as a problem with the flywheel/starter motor mesh. Or it might be a non runner because of electrical problems. Non runner means it wont go, seized means the engine wont turn over. Neither are insurmountable problems, it just depends on your abilities with a spanner and how much you know about cars.

If you can get it cheap enough it might be an interesting project.

my uncles and cousins are all "lets fix up a car" types so just doing some googling - dont think id buy a non runner though - looks like there are some decent seized cars on the auctions im looking at, just gonna take aforementioned uncle along methinks.

If I was looking for a project, I would be looking out for a clean, mint, and perfect bodywork, any mechanical problems are usually easily fixed at home, bodywork is a professionals job.

graham body work can be done 'at home' but only if you have access to enough space to do it - but you are right it is time consuming and takes practice ... i've sprayed boats in a double width and slightly over length garage with a cheaply built spray booth made of gaffa tape and polytheme and got pretty good results but that was using decent quality materials , lots of prep time and a good compressor/ gun set up
