I agree about the media harping on about "if you don't get an "A" grade, you're thick"; getting an "A", never mind many of them, requires hard work, dedication, and intelligence. A "C" grade is mean to be the average, remember? (At least, I think it is meant to be). Getting over 80% overall for As and A2 is no mean feat. I got 4 A2s, but two of my subjects (History and Politics) I got an A by 9 and 1 mark(s) respectively: And I don't consider myself thick, dumb, unintelligent, whatever.

So don't feel bad if you've gotten under an "A" - the media is wrong, as it is on plenty of subjects - and remember that A-Levels are done by a minority of young people in the country (i.e. under 50%, but I'm not sure how much exactly). Then take the minority of those doing A-Levels and going to uni (currently about 42%), and you're in a pretty elitist group...
Apparantly a D is the average.

I got one A AS Level grade in Government and Politics.

It was a massive surprise to me, I've never achieved an A in my life.
I'm just really proud of my self and it's shown that anything is possible.

Guys.... if I can get an A garde, anyone can!!

I hope to change my C grades at AS Level, into A's after I have resat one module in each, then I'll have 3 A Grades! yah!
