Incessant nagging

Honestly, this weekend has just been awful. My mum has nagged more than she usually does, and normally it's bad. Today, each time I've gone off to do my own thing/told my family I'm going out somewhere etc I've received comments like "No! You can't, what about the garage door it needs painting" or [just now] "Matt are you busy?" so I said "sort of, why?" -mother, "never mind why hoover the bedrooms".

I mean, for ****s sake, I don't mind doing housework and I never have to be asked to do it, but today I feel as if I've been prevented from doing anything I want to. In protest I'm refusing to do the hoovering, largely because it just doesn't need doing - it was only done yesterday morning but my rentals are cleanliness obsessives.

Does anyone else experience this or am I making a manifestation of something minor?

Then it's not a big deal - you've probably had it easier than others. Can't you find something more productive to grumble about?

No. Absolutely not because my parents are smothering me with their nagging and have done for years. Cannot wait to leave home, as I keep telling them.

Dont worry, I get it all the time. the best is when they tell me to tidy my room, I simply tell them that its my room, my mess, so its my problem. But serioucly, parents moan if you neer go out and yet when you try to they think of daft reasons why you cant. FFS!
