Bleh. The other week I split my lip open and when it eventually healed I had a massive mouth ulcer for a week. Not very nice. I found using anbesol to be a great relief.

i have terrible terrible ulcers - i get a proper infection where they all crowd round the entrance to my throat and i cant swallow anything without proper pain. they're all huge too and last for weeks and weeks - they're evil. my doctor prescribes me corsodyl for them - you can buy it at the chemist. make sure you buy the menthol variety as the original is so disgusting it made me sick the first time that i accidentally swallowed it. you can gargle with it or swill it around your mouth and although it tastes foul, it really does speed up the ulcer disappearance. you can also get some stuff called medigel - comes in a tube and properly numbs them. its great.
hope that helps.

Fleece
TCP also stinks to high heaven.
I like the smell...

Then again, I like the taste of that foul stuff you put in your nails to stop you from biting them so... :p:

I would also suggest you take lots of vitimin C and maybe a zinc supplement helps your immune system, you also need to eat lots of fresh fruit especially strawberrys. You are probably just a bit rundown?

Have you been lying?
Old wives tale says that you get ulcers from lying

I'll second the mouthwash - Listerine works wonders for me, stops the pain and everything! Maybe it's coz it burns your mouth off...
